Privacy Policy

First Motion is a small consultancy run by its founder. This page covers what happens to information you give us through this site, in plain language.

What we collect

The free working session form collects what you enter into it: your website, your work email address, and, if you choose to answer, how you find customers today. It also records the page you submitted it from and, if the link you arrived on carried them, the campaign tags in that link. We use this to look at your website and prepare for your working session.

When you book a call, the booking is handled by Calendly. It collects your name, email address, the time you choose, and any answers you give to its optional questions.

The newsletter signup collects only your email address. We use two analytics tools. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless and aggregate: it counts visits and the pages people land on. PostHog shows us how the site is used, such as which links are clicked, where people leave a page, and whether the working session form or a booking was completed. PostHog sets a cookie to recognize a returning browser and may record a replay of a visit with everything typed into form fields hidden. We use this only to improve the site, and PostHog processes it for us, not for its own purposes. We also use the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when someone visits the site, requests a working session, or books a call, so we can measure and improve our ads. It uses cookies, and Meta may combine it with information it already holds about you under its own privacy policy. We also use RB2B, which may identify the business and the professional profile behind a visit from the United States, so we can see which companies are interested in our work. It uses cookies and works with its own data partners under its own privacy policy.

What we do with it

We use working session requests and bookings only to review your request, prepare for the session or the call, and follow up with you. Working session requests are delivered by Formspree to the founder’s inbox, bookings are kept in Calendly, and both are saved as a contact in our HubSpot CRM. Requesting a working session or booking a call does not add you to the newsletter or to any automated email sequence.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we use your email only to send it, and you can unsubscribe at any time by replying or emailing [email protected]. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone outside the tools that operate this site: Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare for security and spam protection, Formspree for form delivery, HubSpot as our CRM, Calendly for scheduling, PostHog for analytics, Meta for ad measurement, and RB2B for visitor identification. They process the data to provide those services to us, not for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as useful for following up with you, and no longer than necessary. Email us to have your submission deleted at any time.

Your options

  • Ask what we have on file for you
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Ask us to correct it

Reach out to [email protected] for any of the above.
